FR8Life is more than a brand — it’s a tribute to a lifelong friendship rooted in family, freight, and the kind of bond you only get when you grow up across the street from someone. My best friend and I were born eight months apart, and from day one our lives ran in parallel. We celebrated the wins, pushed through the tough moments, and eventually found ourselves in the same industry, building careers in logistics and freight forwarding side by side for more than a decade.
Our paths didn’t just intertwine professionally — they did personally too. We are both girl dads, raising daughters who grew from toddlers into teenagers while we navigated the freight world together. That shared experience shaped us just as much as the work did.
When I first imagined FR8Life, I knew he’d appreciate the spirit behind it — a brand that celebrates the culture, pride, and grit of the freight community we loved. Life got busy, and the idea sat on the shelf for a while. Then cancer took him, and everything changed.
Losing my best friend lit a fire in me to bring FR8Life to life, not just as a passion project, but as a way to honor him. Supporting the American Cancer Society became a natural part of that mission. This isn’t a marketing angle — it’s personal. It’s a commitment to fight the disease that took someone who shaped my life in more ways than I can count.
