FR8Life: One of the many reasons I started this is because, after spending my entire life in the freight industry, I've developed a deep appreciation and pride for our field. I know there are many of us out there - whether you're on the freight forwarding side like me or on the shipper side, freight is always on your mind. I'd like to share a short story about my freight experience. One year, we had ocean freight containers loaded in our lot, ready to be returned to the rail yard. It was so hot outside that the legs of the container literally punctured through the blacktop. When we came out, we were surprised to find the container tilted forward, almost kissing the ground.
